Fresh Mango Juice
Mango (Mangifera indica) is a large evergreen tree, thought to have originated in the Indo-Burma region. The young trees produce a dense canopy of red-brown leaves; when the trees mature, the leaves become dark green. It bears small, fragrant flowers and a succulent fruit. The mango is a vital food source for millions in the tropics.
The fruit flesh of a ripe mango is very sweet and has a unique, aromatic taste. The texture can vary between different cultivars; some resemble the firm flesh of an avocado, some are pulpier (like an over-ripe plum). Mango fruit varies in colour, shape and size. It has a large, one-seeded stone.
It is used both in its raw (green) and ripe forms. The stone is a source of valued mango kernel butter.
Mangoes are an excellent nutritional source, containing an abundance of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants - calcium, potassium, vitamin A, E and C and several B vitamins. In fact, it's one of the most nutritious foods in the world. Many studies have shown the health-promoting benefits of mango.
The juice is highly antioxidant, naturally antibacterial and rich in enzymes. The enzymes remove dirt and debris, which means it adds volume and shine to hair and increases tensile strength.
In skincare, it clarifies and improves tone.
